Airlines
Efficient airline maintenance is critical to ensure aircraft continue to fly safely. The pace of airline maintenance is exceptionally fast to minimize downtime and maximize the customer experience. For this reason, standardized processes are of utmost importance.
We have a long history of working in with airlines and airline maintenance. We work both with in-house airline maintenance departments, and third-party firms that provide MRO services to airlines. We streamline airline maintenance operations, implement inventory management systems, establish robust project management processes, and clarify roles and responsibilities. These efforts lead to more efficient maintenance operations, helping airlines maintain their schedules and keep their aircraft in the air.

Case study - Aircraft Modification PMO

Overview
Dealing with confusion on roles and responsibilities and unclear processes in their aircraft modifications department, Stymiest and Associates was asked to help a major North American airline establish a project management office (PMO). This PMO would manage all aircraft modifications, from fleet induction, to cabin changes, to aircraft decommissioning, to routine engineering modifications.
Impacts
Improved operational performance between key teams
Established roles & responsibilities for new processes
Readied the airline for a larger aircraft modification workload
Conducted detailed analysis of the airline’s current state
Establish the PMO’s mission, vision and values
Reviewed processes with a broader team of managers
Built the PMO from scratch
